Keeping this one for myself!

The Epergny Vineyard painting was done while on an excursion with my painting buddies and a dozen other French friends of our host. We had a picnic (wonderful food provided by the French friends with "real" wine glasses!) on the hillside after visiting a champagne house, and then had about 45 minutes to paint. So . . . everything with this one is quite loose, but the memories were like nothing I ever imagined. Like a dream!!!!! This painting is the one from France that I have an emotional attachment to, so . . . can't part with it!

These paintings were done from my photographs taken while in France!
Studio paintings are usually more refined than "plein air" -- more time can be taken to straighten lines, get the correct color, etc.,
. . . and even just to get the essence of the scene!
